In the third quarter of 2022, Norway's top Maps and Navigation applications exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how the top five apps fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 16K in mid-July before a steady decline to approximately 6K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 28K at the end of June and ending with about 25K in the last week of September.

Vy experienced a more stable trend in weekly downloads, maintaining figures between 5K and 8K throughout the quarter. Active users hovered around 16K at the start and dipped slightly to around 14K by the end of the quarter.

Moovit: Bus & Train Schedules showed consistent weekly downloads initially, with a peak of around 4.8K in late July, before gradually dropping to about 2.5K by the end of September. Revenue for Moovit increased significantly, starting at a modest $8 and reaching $224 in the week of September 19. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging between 17K and 20K.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate with slight peaks, reaching around 6K in mid-July and stabilizing around 3K to 4K towards the end of the quarter. Active users demonstrated consistent growth, starting at approximately 89K at the end of June and ending at around 115K in the last week of September.

MarineTraffic - Ship Tracking saw a peak in weekly downloads of about 5K in mid-July, followed by a decline to approximately 1.6K by the end of September. Revenue showed a downward trend from $1.3K at the end of June to about $1K by the end of September. Active users remained fairly steady, starting at around 9.4K and ending at a similar figure.
